The Allegheny Valley Garden Railroad
on the road

Kim
and I had a chance to share the AV with the visitors at the Northwest
Pa Steam Engine & Old equipment Assn's Spring Gas-Up at
Portersville, Pa. on May 15 & 16, 2010. Two loops of temporary
track with running passenger and whimsical trains entertained one and
all. It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun as well.
The temporary layout, about 12 x 18 feet, was located near the station of their 15" gauge railway

Little train, and littler train

Kids of all ages enjoyed it

An old fashioned farm equipment dealership in miniature

Spring means road construction - no matter how small the road

A passenger train pulls in to the scratchbuilt model of the Evans City B&O station

Work down on the farm is never completely done

It also gave me a chance to show off some of my scratchbuilt construction equipment

Dumbo and Cookie Monster go for a ride

Just a lovely spring weekend
